Late May 2004 saw us at Elvaston Castle and Country Park near Derby. Good weather, a busy living history encampment, and furious battles combined to make this a great weekend for everybody.

Dateline for the show was the year 917: Aethelflaed, Lady of the Mercians, recaptures Derby from the Danes for the crown.
